AI Academy Subscription Terms

The terms for CoastDigiTech AI Academy subscriptions. Version 2026-10-11.2. Effective date: October 11, 2026.

The Short Version

  • Each AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) is its own academy and its own subscription. The All 4 Platforms plan covers all four in one subscription.
  • Each subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on the plan you choose, until you cancel it.
  • PayPal charges the plan price when you subscribe and again at the start of each new billing period.
  • Cancel any time online in PayPal, or ask us to cancel for you by phone or through our contact form.
  • When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not give refunds or credits for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
  • The person who subscribes must be 18 or older. Learners aged 13 to 17 may take part only with a parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. The Academy is not for children under 13.

About These Terms

These terms apply when you subscribe to the CoastDigiTech AI Academy at learn.coastdigitech.io (the “Academy”) or use a seat on someone else’s subscription. They add to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Terms of Use differ, these terms control for the Academy. “We” and “us” means CoastDigiTech, based in Orcutt, California.

Plans and Prices

Prices are in US dollars. The price for the plan and billing period you choose is shown on our AI Academy page and again by PayPal before you confirm. If any tax applies, PayPal shows it before you confirm.

Platforms. The Academy has a separate academy for each AI platform: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. A single-platform subscription gives access to that platform’s academy only. To learn more than one platform, start a subscription for each one, or choose All 4 Platforms. Every active subscription also includes the monthly Chapters.

Single platform (each platform, per subscription):

  • Individual: one learner. $29 per month, or $290 per year.
  • Household: up to 5 people who live in the same household. $49 per month, or $490 per year.
  • Team: up to 10 named people in your team or group. $199 per month, or $1,990 per year.

All 4 Platforms (one subscription covering Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot):

  • Individual: one learner. $69 per month, or $690 per year.
  • Household: up to 5 people who live in the same household. $119 per month, or $1,190 per year.
  • Team: up to 10 named people in your team or group. $499 per month, or $4,990 per year.

Each subscription is billed, renewed and cancelled on its own. Changing from single platforms to All 4 Platforms (or back) means starting the new subscription and cancelling the old one; the refund rules below apply to the one you cancel.

Automatic Renewal

Each subscription is a continuing subscription. When you subscribe, PayPal charges the plan price right away. After that, PayPal charges the same plan price at the start of every new billing period: every month for monthly plans, and every year for annual plans. This continues until you cancel.

Before checkout we ask you to check a box agreeing to these terms and to the automatic renewal charges. Checking the box and completing checkout is your authorization for the recurring charges described here. After you subscribe, we send an email with your sign-in details that also repeats these renewal terms and how to cancel, so you have a copy to keep.

For annual plans, we email a reminder at least once a year that lists the plan, the price and how often you are charged, and how to cancel.

How to Cancel

You can cancel at any time, in either of these ways:

  • Online in PayPal (immediate): sign in to PayPal, go to Settings, then Payments, then Subscriptions and saved businesses (or Automatic Payments), select CoastDigiTech, and cancel. These steps are from PayPal’s help center as of October 11, 2026; PayPal may change its menus.
  • Ask us: call 805-310-1445 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific) or use our contact form. We cancel the subscription in PayPal within one working day (Monday to Friday) and confirm by email.

Cancelling a subscription stops its future charges. You keep access to that platform (or to all four, for All 4 Platforms) until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, that access is paused. Cancelling one platform does not affect your other subscriptions. If you have more than one subscription, tell us which one to cancel when you contact us.

Refunds

We do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused seats or unused time, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us and we will look into it.

Price and Plan Changes

If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before the new price takes effect. The email will explain how to cancel if you do not want to continue. If we make any other important change to these terms, we will email you before it applies to your subscription.

Accounts and Seats

  • Each learner gets their own sign-in. Do not share your sign-in or let anyone else use your seat.
  • Household plans are for people who live in the same home. Team plans are for named people in your team or group.
  • To add, remove or change the people on your plan, contact us. The subscriber is responsible for the people they add and for their use of the Academy.
  • We may suspend a sign-in that is shared, used to copy Academy content, or used in a way that breaks these terms.

Age Requirements

The person who subscribes must be at least 18 years old. Learners aged 13 to 17 may use the Academy only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms for them and is responsible for their use. The Academy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

The lessons use third-party AI services such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. Each service sets its own minimum age and terms, and some are for adults only. Every learner must meet the age and other requirements of each service they use. Parents and guardians should check those requirements before a teen uses a service.

When a Subscription Ends

When the paid period of a subscription ends after a cancellation or a failed payment, access to the platform academy it covered is paused (and to the monthly Chapters, if you have no other active subscription). Your progress, grades and completion records are kept, so if you subscribe again your access returns where you left off. You can ask us to delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

What the Academy Is and Is Not

  • The Academy is education about using AI tools. It is not legal, medical, tax, financial or other professional advice.
  • AI products change often. Lessons show when they were last checked, but we cannot promise that a product looks or works exactly as a lesson describes.
  • Certificates and badges record that you completed Academy material. They are not accredited qualifications.
  • CoastDigiTech is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Microsoft. Product names are trademarks of their owners.
  • Your use of any AI service is between you and that service. You are responsible for what you share with it and for checking its output.

Academy Content

Lessons, videos, labs, quizzes and other Academy materials belong to CoastDigiTech. Your subscription lets the people on your plan use them for their own learning while the subscription is active. Do not copy, record, resell, publish or share Academy materials, or use automated tools to download them.

We add new material regularly and may update lessons when products change. When we replace a lesson, we keep the earlier version available in the Academy library where we reasonably can.

Payments Through PayPal

Payments are processed by PayPal under PayPal’s own terms. We do not receive or store your card or bank details. We receive the subscription details PayPal shares with us, such as the plan, status and the email address you enter for your Academy sign-in.

Records and Emails

We keep a record of your agreement to these terms, including the date and time, the sign-in email you entered, the platform, the plan, and the version of these terms. We keep it for at least three years, or one year after your subscription ends if that is longer. By subscribing, you agree that we may send you service emails about your account, renewals, price changes and these terms.

Disclaimers and Limits of Liability

The Academy is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, CoastDigiTech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages related to the Academy, and our total liability for any claim related to the Academy is limited to the amount you paid for the Academy in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about the Academy will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California.

Changes and Contact

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date, and we will email subscribers about important changes as described above. Questions? Call 805-310-1445 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific) or use our contact form.
