Privacy Policy

How CoastDigiTech collects, uses and protects information when you visit coastdigitech.io or contact us. Effective October 11, 2026.

Who We Are

CoastDigiTech is an IT and AI consulting business based in Orcutt, California, serving Santa Maria, the Santa Ynez Valley and San Luis Obispo County. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean CoastDigiTech. To reach us about privacy, call 805-310-1445 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific) or use our contact form.

Information We Collect

We collect only what you choose to send us and the minimum technical data needed to run the website:

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message.
  • Phone calls and follow-up: the details you share with us when you call or when we reply to your inquiry.
  • Server logs: our web server records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, page requested and time. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
  • AI Academy accounts: if you have an Academy account at learn.coastdigitech.io, we store your name, email address, sign-in records, course enrollments and progress so the Academy works for you.

How We Use It

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide quotes and services you request.
  • To keep business records of inquiries and engagements.
  • To protect the website against abuse and keep it running.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Website hosting: our hosting provider stores the website, its database (including form submissions) and server logs.
  • Google Maps: the map on our Contact page loads from Google only if you click Show service area on Google Maps. Until then no request is sent to Google. Once loaded, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Yelp reviews: our Reviews page shows client reviews using Yelp’s official review embed. When that page loads, your browser connects to Yelp’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information and may set their own cookies, under Yelp’s own privacy policy. Other pages do not load Yelp content.
  • PayPal: Academy subscriptions are paid through PayPal, which processes your payment under its own privacy policy. PayPal shares your name, email address, subscription status and payment status with us so we can give you access. We never receive or store your card or bank details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or third-party analytics, and we do not track you across other websites. The only cookies we set are ones the site needs to work: WordPress sets sign-in cookies for people who manage the site, and the AI Academy at learn.coastdigitech.io sets one session cookie (MoodleSession) that keeps you signed in. When you dismiss our cookie notice, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. The Yelp review embed on our Reviews page and the optional Google map on our Contact page, described above, may set their own cookies.

Because we do not track visitors across sites, our website does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver services and meet our tax, legal and record-keeping obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

Reviewing or Changing Your Information

To review, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us, call 805-310-1445 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific) or use our contact form. We will verify the request and respond within a reasonable time.

California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights under California law. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you may request to know, correct or delete your personal information and you will not be discriminated against for doing so. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

Every page is served over HTTPS with HSTS, administrative access is restricted, security updates install automatically, and we run automated security checks every week. See Our Commitment to Cybersecurity for details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send passwords, payment card numbers or other highly sensitive information through the contact form.

Children

The AI Academy is for adults who hold a subscription and for learners aged 13 to 17 who use it with a parent or guardian who holds the subscription (see the AI Academy Subscription Terms). This website and the Academy are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we make material changes, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
